A family-run hotel on Gobindanagar Central Bus Stand Road, built around how people actually travel through Bankura.
Shivananda Lodge is a family-run, budget-to-mid-range hotel in Kenduadihi, Bankura, West Bengal โ built to serve the town's real mix of visitors: bus passengers, hospital attendants, exam candidates, pilgrims and officials, alongside travellers heading toward Bishnupur, Mukutmanipur and Susunia Hill.
Bankura is the headquarters of Bankura district โ a red-soil, terracotta-craft region that sits between the Gangetic plains and the Chota Nagpur plateau. The town itself isn't a tourist destination so much as a working junction: buses converge at the Gobindanagar Central Bus Stand, families travel in for treatment at Bankura Sammilani Medical College and Hospital, and officials pass through for bank and government work. We built Shivananda Lodge around that reality rather than around a resort brochure.
The property sits directly on Gobindanagar Central Bus Stand Road, with a Canara Bank branch and ATM in the same building, the fire station and a petrol pump next door, and a daytime polyclinic just outside. It's a practical location by design โ not scenic, useful.

No booking platform, no commission โ just a phone call or WhatsApp message, followed by a quick QR payment to confirm your room.
Every room is booked and confirmed by call or WhatsApp โ no third-party platform in between.
Once you contact us, we share a payment QR code โ your room is confirmed as soon as we receive it. No booking fee.
Extend day by day โ useful for hospital stays where the length of visit isn't fixed in advance.
A locally run property, not a chain โ the same family you speak to on the phone runs the lodge.

We don't position ourselves as a resort or a tourist hotel โ Bankura town itself isn't that kind of destination. Instead, we focus on being reliably good at the things our actual guests need:
